No. If your TV is a Samsung, LG, Hisense or any Android or Google TV from the last few years, you can install a player app right on it. Older TV? A Fire TV Stick or Chromecast with Google TV plugs into the HDMI port and does the job. Our installation guide walks through every device.
Plan on about 10 Mbps for each TV watching in HD and 25 Mbps or more for 4K. Most home internet plans in Canada are well above that. The bigger problem is usually weak Wi-Fi in the room with the TV, and our internet speed guide shows how to fix it.
Each plan includes one screen, meaning one stream playing at a time. If the kids watch cartoons upstairs while you watch the game downstairs, add a second screen for a small extra fee. The prices are on our multi-screen pricing table.
Press Order on a plan, fill in your name, email and phone, and the checkout shows exactly where to send the e-Transfer and how much, in Canadian dollars, with a Copy button on each field. Then you send it from your own bank app, the same way you'd pay a friend back. There's no card to type in on our site, and no foreign exchange fee because everything is billed in CAD. We send your login as soon as your e-Transfer arrives, during support hours (7 days a week, 9 a.m. to midnight (Eastern Time)). If the receiving bank uses Autodeposit, the money usually lands within minutes, so most people are watching the same evening. A payment sent overnight gets its login when support is back in the morning.
Peak time is the real test: a Saturday night game when half the country is streaming.
